Le tournoi
Cette année, la 8e édition de l’Open comprendra deux tournois:
Les parties des cinq premiers échiquiers du tournoi principal seront diffusées en direct sur Lichess.org. Le lien à la diffusion sera accessible la veille du tournoi.
Les prix et récompenses
Les récompenses suivantes sont prévues:
- 1ère place: 500€.
- 2e place: 300€.
- 3e place: 200€.
- 4e et 5e places: 50€.
- 3 catégories d’Elo: 30€ et 20€ respectivement pour la 1ère et la 2e place dans la catégorie.
- autres catégories (jeune, vétéran, Sassenageois): 30€ pour la 1ère place dans la catégorie.
Dans le tournoi jeunes, les trois premières places et les meilleur.e.s parmi les catégories U14, U12, U10 et U8 seront récompensé.e.s avec des bons d’achat Fnac.
La liste détaillée des prix sera affichée dans la salle du tournoi avant la 4e ronde.
Le montant total des récompenses est de 1500€. Ce montant pourra être augmenté si le nombre total des inscriptions dépasse 120. Cependant, si le nombre total des inscriptions est inférieur à 80, il pourra être réduit à celui de l’Open de 2023.
Les inscriptions
Vous pourrez vous inscrire à l’un des deux tournois Open (principal ou jeunes):
- en ligne sur HelloAsso.
- sur place le 15 juin, dans la limite des places disponibles et au tarif majoré.
Les inscriptions en ligne seront ouvertes dans la première moitié du mois de mai 2025.
Les frais d’inscription
En ligne, avant le 13 juin 2025:
Pour le tournoi principal:
- 20€ pour un adulte.
- 10€ pour un jeune de 18 ans ou moins.
- 10€ pour un joueur ou une joueuse titré.e (Maître International, Grand Maître).
- gratuit pour les vainqueurs des éditions précédentes de l’Open.
Pour le tournoi jeunes: 10€ par inscrit.
A partir du 14 juin 2025 ou sur place:
Pour le tournoi principal:
- 25€ pour un adulte.
- 12€ pour un jeune de 18 ans ou moins.
- 12€ pour un joueur ou une joueuse titré.e.
Pour le tournoi jeunes: 12€ par inscrit.

Plan d’accès:

Facilement accessible avec le tram A, terminus “La Poya” puis un seul arrêt (“Les Pies”) des bus 19 ou 20 (horaires des bus), ou bien 5 minutes à pieds. Un panneau fléché au croisement vous indiquera la direction vers le gymnase des Pies.

Tournament
We are pleased to announce the 8th edition of Sassenage Chess Open Rapid, which will take place on the 15th of June 2025 in Gymnase des Pies, Sassenage.
This year, two tournaments will be held:
The games of the first five boards of the main tournament will be broadcasted on Lichess.org. The link to the broadcast will be available the day before the tournament.
Registration
You can register for one of the two tournaments (main or U18):
- online at HelloAsso.
- on site, on June 15th, provided that there are places available and with increased registration fees.
The online registration will be open in May, approximately a month before the date of the tournament.
Registration Fees
Online, before June 13th 2025:
For the main tournament:
- 20€ for an adult.
- 10€ for a young player (U18).
- 10€ for a titled player (IM, GM).
- free for the winners of the first prize in this Open of previous years.
For the U18 tournament: 10€ per player.
From June 14th and on site:
For the main tournament:
- 25€ for an adult.
- 12€ for a young player (U18).
- 12€ for a titled player.
For the U18 tournament: 12€ per player.
Prizes and Rewards
The following prizes will be distributed:
- 1st place: 500€.
- 2nd place: 300€.
- 3rd place: 200€.
- 4th and 5th place: 50€.
- 3 Elo categories: 30€ and 20€ respectively for the 1st and the 2nd place of each category.
- other categories (U18, veteran, Sassenageois): 30€ for the 1st place in each category.
In the Youth’s tournament, the first three places and the best players in catégories U14, U12, U10 et U8 will be rewarded.
A detailed list of prizes will be announced in the tournament hall before the 4th round.
The total amount of rewards is 1500€. This amount will be increased if the total number of registered participants is more than 120. However, if the total number of participants is lower than 80, this amount might be reduced to the level of the Open of 2023.

The venue is easily accessible from Grenoble by tram A, terminal “La Poya”, then just one stop (“Les Pies”) by bus 19 or 20 (Bus timetables), or within 5 minutes on foot. An arrow sign on the intersection will show you the direction to the playing hall (“Gymnase des Pies”).
